Summary
ElectricAccelerator 9.1 introduces several new capabilities that dramatically shrink CI cycles to enable customers to improve software quality while delivering more frequent releases. This release not only improves the scalability of ElectricAccelerator build clouds through 64-bit Cluster Manager support but also improves their manageability and usability through new Cluster Manager dashboards and enhanced filtering capabilities. In addition, support for the latest versions of GNU Make is introduced. This release also adds support for the latest versions of Android O and Chromium.
Cluster Manager Scalability
This release introduces 64-bit Cluster Manager support for Linux platforms to dramatically increase the number of agents that can be supported by every ElectricAccelerator build cloud.
Revamped Cluster Manager Web Interface
ElectricAccelerator 9.1 features a dramatic refresh of the Cluster Manager web interface, with an emphasis on improved usability through dashboards and smarter filtering capabilities. In addition, dashboards improve time to value for new users through startup guides and “getting started” videos. GNU Make 4.x Support
ElectricAccelerator 9.1 adds support for the latest versions of GNU Make, including versions 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2, which are included with the latest Linux distributions. For details about the new GNU Make features in this release, see the ElectricAccelerator Documentation.
Android O and Chromium Support
ElectricAccelerator now supports the latest version of Android O (version 8) and the corresponding version of JACK by supporting the latest version (v1.7.2) of the Ninja build system, which is used by the latest Android and Chromium open source projects.
Additional Platform Support
ElectricAccelerator now supports the following platforms:
- RHEL 7.3 (kernel 3.10.0-514, 64-bit)
- RHEL 6.9 (kernel 2.6.32-696 (64-bit for the Cluster Manager; 32- and 64-bit for eMake and agents)
- Windows Server 2016 (64-bit)

Upgrades
Electric Cloud recommends that all customers upgrade their ElectricAccelerator components to version 9.1: The Cluster Manager, cluster nodes (agent machines), and all local eMake build machines.
