I would like to install a JNLP agent as a CentOS service.
- CentOS, RHEL
- CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise
- CloudBees Jenkins Operations Center
Installing a JNLP agent on a CentOS environment can be installed via several methods.
- If you execute javaws JENKINS_URL/computer/COMPNAME/jenkins-slave.jnlp a windowed mode in the menu is an option to install the agent as a service.
- If you are running in headless mode, then we created a simple script for creating a new Jenkins agent: Startup scripts for CentOS. Some modifications need to be made to the jenkins-slave file to reflect your environment.
