Issue
- What is a CloudBees Administrator
- How do I make someone an Admin
Environment
- Console (http://console.cloudbees.com)
Resolution
An Administrator or “Admin” is a user has access to additional (Account) administration functions.
If you created the account, i.e. if you went through the sign up process by entering your name, email address, your HaaS/CI domain name, etc, you have this Admin status by default. Otherwise, you need to ask someone who already has these Admin rights to grant you this Admin status. To see how an existing Admin can grant this same Admin status to another user, please see “How to become an Admin?” end of this article.
If you are a user with Admin rights, this is what you see when you click on the gear in the top right-hand corner of the Console:

In the Admin menu, you click on the Add button in the top right-hand corner of the “Account Users” section. This will take you to this screen:
Simply enter the user’s email who you’d like to make an admin, then assign them the user role of admin.
