Issue

Any infrastructure issues related with CJE.

Required Data: CJE (CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise)

This article describes how to collect the required information on a CJE infrastructure so that it can be efficiently troubleshooted.

If the required data is bigger than 20 MB you will not be able to use ZenDesk to upload all the information. On this case we would like to encourage you to use our upload service in order to attach all the required information.

Environment

  • CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise (Legacy PSE)

Required Data check list

[ ] Basic health checks
[ ] Generate a CJE support-bundle
[ ] Screenshot from Marathon/Mesos
[ ] Worker logs from the failed environment

Basic health checks

The output of the following commands:

cje run list-workers
cje run list-applications
cje run list-resources
cje status

Generate a CJE support-bundle

cje prepare pse-support
pse-support is staged - review pse-support.config and edit as needed - then
run `cje apply` to perform the operation.

If it takes too much time, you can reduce/minimize the information attached by configuring the configuration file pse-support.config.

Please, take a screenshot from both Mesos and Marathon UI and attach them to the ticket.

Worker logs from the failed environment

Determinate the worker in which the failed instance is located with cje run list-applications and then follow How to obtains logs from Worker/Controller manually

NOTE: If you cannot generate a bundle or it takes a long time, don’t worry, start attaching the rest of the information so we can diagnosis your issues as soon as possible.
